Seaway Printing Company is a progressive, short-run book printer established in Green Bay, WI. over 130 years ago. When Seaway added their new press to meet their production needs, they realized that they also had to expand their bindery at the same time. After looking what was available, Seaway selected to invest in the new Hohner HSB 9.000 saddle-stitcher. The combination of the small footprint, wide range of format sizes, ease of set-up and operator friendly controls as well as Hohner’s reputation for offering quality bindery products, weighed heavily in the decision to purchase the HSB 9.000.
Seaway Printing chose a HSB 9.000 configured with six feeders, cover- feeder, Busch waste removal system and Rima stacker. They also added a Hohner Foldnak Compact Booklet-maker to their bindery operations.
Right from the time of the mid-January install, Kevin Heslin, President of Seaway Printing, informed Hohner he would be challenging the HSB 9.000’s production capabilities. The Hohner HSB 9.000 proved to be up to the task. With 7,000,000 books already produced by the middle of June, Seaway has experienced no downtime on their new saddle-stitcher.
